I would like to introduce myself to the Oyster River Cooperative School District as a candidate for the school board. I think that my experiences make me well qualified to understand the dynamics of a school district and empathize with a wide variety of opinions and needs within the community. My ability to listen carefully, take time to understand problems and make balanced decisions will help produce a school board that works within our means to provide the best education possible for our children.
I am a family physician at Salmon Falls Family Health Care, and I have been a member of the seacoast community for 25 years. My wife and I raised our two children in Somersworth and we moved to Madbury 2 years ago.
I currently serve on the Utilization Review board at Rochester Manor. I served as a board member for TriCity VNA and served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. I volunteer with a free supper program at the Episcopal Church in Dover and my wife is treasurer of the Madbury Community Club.
I am a member of the cello section with the Portsmouth Symphony and bicycle regularly with a group out of Durham.
I see this as an exciting opportunity for me to better understand my community and contribute to furthering the excellence of our school district. My life and professional experience will bring a fresh perspective to the position.
If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your support,
Candidate for the Madbury seat on the ORCSD School Board
